Sharon Sunshine Sou participated in the HF#12101 Cary Greenways Tour Half Marathon on March 22 in Cary, NC, marking her second half marathon within a week. She mentioned the race’s convenient features, including ample parking and real bathrooms, and appreciated the flexible starting times. Coming in first in her age group due to limited competition, she earned a free entry for the next race. She expressed joy in reconnecting with friends Charlene and Victoria and is focusing on speed training for her upcoming Senior Games 10K Race in April.

Inaugural Phoenix Marathon Recap
Stefanie Holliday, identified by her codes MM14386, DA3313, and HF17442, completed the inaugural Phoenix Marathon. She enjoyed the experience of racing alongside fellow participants, particularly sharing a mile with Keenan. However, the heat was challenging for her, given her acclimatization to cold weather in Breckenridge, Colorado. Scott Pearson participated in the Blood Run, a 24-hour race aimed at completing as many 1.5-mile loops as possible. Initially targeting 50 miles, he and friend Sara pushed themselves to complete a 100k, finishing with just 20 minutes remaining. The experience highlighted the importance of setting goals and having supportive friends.

Team Woody at the Richmond Half Marathon
The Richmond Half Marathon was a delightful experience for Woody Michaux, who enjoyed interacting with friends, petting dogs, and receiving fist bumps along the course.
