Rolling Hills to Red Carpet: Epic Weekend Win and Sub-3 at Route 66 Marathon

Sadie Smith shared her experience completing the Route 66 Marathon, celebrating her achievement as a sub-3 finisher and overall winner. She praised the race’s festive atmosphere, organized by the community of Tulsa, and noted the generous refreshments available. Smith expressed her enjoyment of the race amenities and highlighted her personal progress, finishing 30 minutes faster than in 2019, aided by motorcycle escorts. She admired the performance of second place female runners, particularly an impressive 48-year-old, emphasizing the supportive environment and well-designed course.

Before races, the Marathon Maniac and Half Fanatic community takes a ‘Family Photo’. This tradition was followed at the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon/Half Marathon on April 27, 2025, capturing a sense of camaraderie among runners. Conquering All 50 States with a Half Marathon Finale in Hawaii

Jen D’Italia (HF 380) celebrated completing her journey of running half marathons in all 50 states at the Hapalua Half Marathon in Hawaii on April 13, 2025. Starting in 2010, she pursued this goal passionately, overcoming setbacks, and ultimately finished strong, now focusing on enjoying running without specific goals.

Conquering Georgia: My Publix Atlanta Marathon Journey

Brian Johnson participated in the Publix Atlanta Marathon Weekend in March 2025, marking his second trip to Atlanta since 2020. Facing cold and windy conditions, he completed the race, supporting another runner during the challenging final miles. Johnson enjoyed exploring Atlanta’s historical sites and achieved his goal of finishing the marathon.

2nd Round of 50 States Completed at Mainly Marathons Appalachian Series

Karen “Evil Twin” Vollan completed her second round of 50 states at the Mainly Marathons Appalachian Series in Etowah, North Carolina, on March 24, 2025. She is a notable inductee in multiple hall of fames, including the 2021 Double Agent Hall of Fame. Congratulations, Karen!

2025 Half Fanatics Hall of Fame Inductee Elizabeth Schieferdecker

Elizabeth Schieferdecker HF# 5013 has been inducted into the Half Fanatics Hall of Fame for 2025. She achieved eligibility by completing 51 or more half marathons per year for three consecutive years. Congratulations to her on this distinguished honor and welcome to the class of 2025!

Half Fanatics Hall of Fame 2025 Inductee Jennifer Clark

Jennifer Clark (HF16743, DA3643, MM15623) has been inducted into the Half Fanatics Hall of Fame for 2025 after completing her 333rd half marathon during the Mainly Marathon Gulf Coast Series. She celebrated this achievement with fellow runners in her home state of Mississippi. Congratulations to her on this honor!
