Meet Club Member: Sam Friedman
Sam Friedman, after completing 11 marathons, aimed to run in all 50 states to avoid training. However, a knee injury and heat exhaustion challenged him during various races. After recovery, he managed about 35 marathons yearly. He completed his goal at the 2017 Route 66 Marathon, feeling triumphant and aiming for a second round.
Chasing Stars: Devesh Khatu’s Sydney Marathon Adventure
Devesh Khatu completed his second Sydney Marathon, marking his 157th overall, with a strong race experience unlike his first in 2015. The event grew from under 5,000 to over 30,000 participants, featuring a scenic yet challenging course, excellent crowd support, and strong organization. Despite missing his 4:30 goal, he achieved his best time since 2024.
