Meet Club Member: Sam Friedman

Sam Friedman, after completing 11 marathons, aimed to run in all 50 states to avoid training. However, a knee injury and heat exhaustion challenged him during various races. After recovery, he managed about 35 marathons yearly. He completed his goal at the 2017 Route 66 Marathon, feeling triumphant and aiming for a second round.

Meet Joline Cox – Maniac 15462

Joline Cox, a former stay-at-home mom from Heber Springs, Arkansas, transformed her life after gastric sleeve surgery in 2018. Inspired to regain her health, she embraced running, completing her first marathon just nine months later. Now a proud Marathon Maniac, Joline has run 28 marathons, celebrating the journey and connections made through running.

Flight Delays, Falls, and Finish Lines: A Marathon Weekend to Remember

Gysel Parajon experienced a challenging running weekend that included flight delays and race difficulties. After a delayed journey to Cotter, AR, Parajon completed the White River Marathon while facing stomach issues and an injury. Despite difficulties at the Harpeth Hills Flying Monkey Marathon, Parajon finished, marking state 23 in a rewarding adventure.
