Mississippi River Marathon Recap– New Finish, Vintage Carousel & Delta Delights!
Jennifer Clark shares her experience at the annual Mississippi River Marathon in Greenville, Mississippi. This local race features a full marathon starting in Arkansas and a half marathon across the bridge, both finishing in Greenville. This year, the finish line was moved to the E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center due to changes in the course configuration. Clark enjoyed the new location, which allowed for socializing and a unique ride on a historic Merry-Go-Round. The event featured food and camaraderie with fellow runners, marking her 383rd half marathon.
Inaugural Phoenix Marathon Recap
Stefanie Holliday, identified by her codes MM14386, DA3313, and HF17442, completed the inaugural Phoenix Marathon. She enjoyed the experience of racing alongside fellow participants, particularly sharing a mile with Keenan. However, the heat was challenging for her, given her acclimatization to cold weather in Breckenridge, Colorado. Hell of a Half — Natalie Uyeno — MM15186 – HF17314 – DA3505
The Hell of a Half marathon in Exeter, CA, on 8/7/21 was challenging due to heat and hills. The race featured excellent course support with multiple aid stations, but blisters forced a slow finish. Despite the difficulties, camaraderie, post-race festivities, and overall experience made it worthwhile. Medal and swag were highlights.
