“It Was Not 99.9 Degrees”: A Sioux Falls Half Marathon Recap

Scott Pearson(HF18577) – I was so confused this morning. It was not 99.9 degrees out. My last two races were so hot. What was a guy to do. But then I heard a horn and saw people running, so I figured I would join them. Sioux Falls half complete this morning. 58 degrees at the start 59 at the finish. Temperature felt wonderful. Since Blood run ultra was only 2 weeks ago, My only real goal today was to finish without hurting myself, preferably with a time around 245. I did 4/2 run walk and while I am sore so far I would say I achieved my goals. Overall I felt pretty good on the course. Side note. Garmin is very upset with me. But I kinda expected that as I have been resting after blood run. Most likely it will get over it. Or not. Either way it was a good day. Half 77 in the books. Now to rest up for a few hours before prep begins for my next half. I am doing a double in 2 weeks. Last night I had a great time at a prerace meal with a couple of other Fanatics. We met up at the start line as well. It is always fun to meet others in the group.
