Mississippi River Marathon Recap– New Finish, Vintage Carousel & Delta Delights!

Jennifer Clark shares her experience at the annual Mississippi River Marathon in Greenville, Mississippi. This local race features a full marathon starting in Arkansas and a half marathon across the bridge, both finishing in Greenville. This year, the finish line was moved to the E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center due to changes in the course configuration. Clark enjoyed the new location, which allowed for socializing and a unique ride on a historic Merry-Go-Round. The event featured food and camaraderie with fellow runners, marking her 383rd half marathon.

The Edmonton “Bear of a Challenge” marathon offers a flat, uncomplicated race experience with staggered starts for multiple distances, creating a communal atmosphere among runners. Participants can join various races, enhancing excitement and energy throughout the event. Despite dwindling numbers after five hours, the overall experience remains enjoyable and engaging.

Conquering Malibu Canyon’s 50K Challenge

Lea Reyes recounts her experience running her first 50K at Malibu Canyon trails. Despite training and preparation, she underestimated the challenging climbs. Along the way, she assisted an injured runner and enjoyed supportive aid stations. Finishing in 8:18, she felt elated and plans to continue her running adventures in nature.
