Wrapping Up 50 States + DC

Dani Shown completed the Salina Crossroads Half Marathon as part of the “50 States + DC Endurance Round 2.” Despite the rainy conditions, she felt happy and grateful after finishing. She shared that many participants were soaked before the race started and wished good luck to those running NYC the next day.

Finishing Marathon #545 at the Fall Freakin Fun Run in Kirkland

Steve Walters finished second overall and first among men at the Fall Freakin Fun Marathon in Kirkland, Washington, completing the race with a consistent pace of 8:45-9:00 per mile. He recorded nearly even splits, with a time of 3:51, and is preparing for another marathon the following day.

Resilience on the Run: Gysel Parajon’s Atlantic City Marathon Experience

Gysel Parajon completed a challenging marathon in Atlantic City on October 20, 2024, despite facing cut-off concerns and pain in the second half. Motivated to finish, she ran unsupported after mile 19, encountering tough terrain and developing extensor tendonitis. Parajon expressed relief at finishing but suggested future races would be half marathons.

Gina Forestieri Triumphs at Groom Creek Classic

Gina Forestieri completed the first half of the Groom Creek Classic in Prescott, AZ, earning first place in her age group. Although slower than usual due to challenging elevation and terrain, she successfully navigated the race. Gina noted the need for better hill training for future half marathons.
