Steve Walters (MM338, DA5, HF21) -Marathon/ultra #545 at the Fall Freakin Fun Marathon in Kirkland, Washington. Not a fast marathon, in smaller races it’s harder to push hard, which is fine considering I’m running a double this weekend. Found a pace that worked and just maintained that (8:45-9:00/mile). Ran near even splits (1:55/1:56) and very consistent (8:37 fastest mile, 9:06 slowest mile). Finished second overall, but first male (there was a woman who ran a 3:24). Time to shower, grab a bite and head to the Tri-Cities for tomorrow’s marathon.
