Chasing Ghosts and Medals: A Perfect Fall Day at the Haunted Forest Half

Randy Riley (MM14470, DA3218, HF16432)– The Haunted Forest Marathon Half in Canal Fulton, OH. My momma has been gone for many years but one of the things she used to tell me as a child was, “Go outside and play with your friends.” Racing allows me to continue to do that all these years later and enjoy a beautiful Fall day running along the towpath trail. This year’s new course is so much better than the old one. It was literally freezing at the start but warmed up nicely as the morning progressed.
It was nice to see Margie Carr who ran a great half and Rizza Salvoro Durbin who took 2nd AG in the 5k.
I came home with a nice long sleeve Halloween themed shirt, finisher medal and also a 1st place AG medal. Half Fanatics 100 Half Marathons Club #medalmonday
