Triumph Over Trials: Youngstown Marathon Sole to City Half Marathon Recap

Despite these setbacks, race directors adapted by using past medals and organizing transport. The race featured a difficult course, and several runners achieved personal bests and awards.

At 51, Roger Macmillan began his running journey after being inspired by a friend. Over 15 years, he completed numerous races, eventually running his first marathon at 68. Joining the Marathon Maniacs, he appreciated community support while enjoying various marathons. In total, he completed 115 marathons, cherishing each experience.

Emphasizing her “UNSTOPPABLE” mindset, she enjoys pacing races and plans to celebrate her 100th half marathon in 2025. Currently, she trains for a 100K race on her birthday.

Team Woody Rocks the End of the Road Half Marathon
Team Woody, consisting of Kim and Woody Michaux, enjoyed the End of the Road Half Marathon along the abandoned Pennsylvania turnpike. They expressed gratitude to Debbie Roberts for her support during the race, especially on uphill sections. The course featured two lengthy tunnels, totaling 5 miles, enhancing the experience. Woody had a great time.
