Conquering Marathon 957 at the Sarmang Dehradun Marathon

Sivabalan Pandian completed his 957th marathon at the Sarmang Dehradun Marathon on October 5, 2025. This AIMS member event showcased a certified Boston Qualifier course in a scenic, hilly area. At 67, he enjoyed the run, supporting fellow participants, and aspires to reach 1000 marathons by 2026.

Meet Club Member: Ronita Bland

Ronita Bland began running in 2013 to maintain a weight loss of 40 lbs. After joining a community group, she completed multiple 5K races, Half Marathons in all 50 states, and marathons on five continents. Running has led her to new friendships and adventures, fueling her passion for the sport.

Celebrating Keenan Haga’s 500th Marathon and 100 Marathon of 2025

Chasing Sun Status: A Half Fanatics Triumph

Dr. Bryon Solberg and Lisa Rice Seidel have achieved Sun Status at the Mainly Marathons Northwest Series. To qualify, runners must complete 52 Half Marathons in a year or 30 across various locations. Notably, this is Lisa’s 11th time reaching this status. Congratulations to both for their incredible accomplishments!

Redemption on the Trails: Conquering Mammoth Trailfest 50k

Gysel Parajon reflects on her experience completing the Mammoth Trailfest 50k after a previous DNF. Despite menstrual cramps and shoe chafing, she met all cutoffs and felt emotional reaching the finish line. Grateful for support from friends and volunteers, she looks forward to improving her time in future races.

Meet Club Member: Sam Friedman

Sam Friedman, after completing 11 marathons, aimed to run in all 50 states to avoid training. However, a knee injury and heat exhaustion challenged him during various races. After recovery, he managed about 35 marathons yearly. He completed his goal at the 2017 Route 66 Marathon, feeling triumphant and aiming for a second round.

From Marbles to Miles: Conquering 100K at Blood Run

Scott Pearson participated in the Blood Run, a 24-hour race aimed at completing as many 1.5-mile loops as possible. Initially targeting 50 miles, he and friend Sara pushed themselves to complete a 100k, finishing with just 20 minutes remaining. The experience highlighted the importance of setting goals and having supportive friends.
