Jolanta Thorburn began her marathon journey in 2022 with the Chicago Marathon. She went on to run additional marathons, including New York, Seattle, Tokyo, and Berlin, all while fundraising. In 2024, she completed the London Marathon and aimed to qualify for the Boston Marathon, achieving this goal in 2025. By June 2026, she completed her 50 states + DC challenge and crossed the finish line of the 130th Boston Marathon, marking the completion of the Six World Marathon Majors.

Meet Club Member: Randall Hansen
Randell Hansen began running in 2004, progressing from 5Ks to completing a marathon in all 50 states by October 2022. As a member of the Marathon Maniacs, he has achieved multiple statuses and participated in prestigious marathons, including Boston and Berlin. Despite life’s changes, he remains committed to running and connecting with friends.
Tokyo Marathon: Sunny Strides, Snowy Sights, and Sons’ Support
Dani Shown had a fantastic marathon experience in Tokyo, enjoying great support from his sons. Despite the heat during the race, the organization and local support were outstanding. He appreciated the welcoming nature of Japan and the beautiful views from Tokyo Tower. Although sad to leave, he looks forward to future visits.
