Chasing the Iconic Prince Medal at Summer Camp

Tahira Bland participated in her 85th lifetime half marathon as part of Mainly Marathons’ Summer Camp in Minnesota, motivated by a Prince-themed medal. This marks her third race in Minnesota, occurring about an hour from Minneapolis, and is the first of a four-race series celebrating the end of the season. The course featured scenic views on crushed gravel, with ample shade. She enjoyed the camaraderie with fellow runners and appreciated the event swag. Tahira looks forward to her next race, the Madison Mini-Marathon.

Athens Ohio Half Marathon 2026 Race Report & Review

Randy Riley returned to Athens, Ohio, to run the half marathon 60 years after his first visit for Boys State. Starting downtown, the course includes a sharp downhill and transitions to a fast, gently rolling bike trail, finishing on Pruitt Field’s track. Despite battling a cold, he finished 596th of 727, being the oldest participant in his age group. His nephew designed the race’s medals and shirts, contributing to a memorable experience.

Chasing Neon at the Tron Run Half Marathon

Robert Manon participated in the Tron Run Half Marathon in Canoga Park, organized by Jed and Ted’s Excellent Races. Despite being delayed by traffic, he enjoyed the race, which featured a fun themed course. This event marked his 644th half marathon, and he opted to skip another race in San Diego.
