Featured Runner: Roger Macmillan
At 51, Roger Macmillan began his running journey after being inspired by a friend. Over 15 years, he completed numerous races, eventually running his first marathon at 68. Joining the Marathon Maniacs, he appreciated community support while enjoying various marathons. In total, he completed 115 marathons, cherishing each experience.

Brenda Folkerts, a 57-year-old former RN from Victoria, B.C., is a dedicated runner and personal trainer who overcame multiple autoimmune diseases. Emphasizing her “UNSTOPPABLE” mindset, she enjoys pacing races and plans to celebrate her 100th half marathon in 2025. Currently, she trains for a 100K race on her birthday.

Conquering Georgia: My Publix Atlanta Marathon Journey
Brian Johnson participated in the Publix Atlanta Marathon Weekend in March 2025, marking his second trip to Atlanta since 2020. Facing cold and windy conditions, he completed the race, supporting another runner during the challenging final miles. Johnson enjoyed exploring Atlanta’s historical sites and achieved his goal of finishing the marathon.
