Brenda Folkerts, a 57-year-old former RN from Victoria, B.C., is a dedicated runner and personal trainer who overcame multiple autoimmune diseases. Emphasizing her “UNSTOPPABLE” mindset, she enjoys pacing races and plans to celebrate her 100th half marathon in 2025. Currently, she trains for a 100K race on her birthday.

From Minnesota to Cincinnati: A 2025 Double Marathon Saga
Gysel Parajon documented a weekend of running, completing double marathons in Iowa and Ohio. Despite challenges like poor weather and fatigue, she found camaraderie among fellow runners. The Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon was particularly memorable, filled with supportive spectators and a great atmosphere. A surprise bouquet awaited her upon returning home.

Faith, Fight, and Finish: Natalie Uyeno’s Ultramarathon #3 Journey
Natalie Uyeno completed her third lifetime ultramarathon, a challenging 32.5 miles at the Silver Moon race, despite undergoing chemotherapy for metastatic breast cancer. Struggling with blisters and physical pain, she persevered, finishing just under the time limit. Grateful for support from friends and prayers, she celebrated her achievement with tears of joy.

Tough Ruck 26.2 Boston: Honoring the Fallen
Brian Johnson participated in the Tough Ruck event on April 20, 2025, honoring fallen service members from his National Guard unit. After a long drive from Columbus to Boston, he completed the 26.2-mile course while carrying names of the deceased. Despite the pain, he expressed a desire to participate again for the cause.
