Running Ragged with the Mainly Marathons Independence & New England Series

Natalie Uyeno(MM15186, HF17314, DA3505)-WOO HOO!!! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰ 11 half marathons in 11 states in 11 days (+ a bonus 5K in NY) DONE! โœ… I earned my first belt buckle doing the Mainly Marathons Independence & New England Series (back-to-back with no break in between), a.k.a. โ€œRunning Raggedโ€ series. The Independence Series covered DE, MD, PA, NJ & NY and the New England Series covered CT, RI, MA, VT, NH & ME. I crossed off 11 new states towards my 50 States half marathon quest and I got to visit 7 states for the first time! ๐Ÿ˜Š Thatโ€™s 147.2 miles in 11 days!

This is the most consecutive half marathons that Iโ€™ve ever done. (My previous longest streak was 7 in 7 days.) I was also coming into the series with tired legs after doing an ultramarathon (33 miles) just 5 days before this 11-day journey started.

I couldnโ€™t have done this without much support, prayers and encouragement from my Mainly Marathons family! ๐Ÿ’œ Thanks to race directors Daniel & Jesse Rueckert for organizing these wonderful races and to the awesome volunteers Kelly, Tracy, Debbie & others who made sure that we were properly fueled & hydrated each day! ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŒ๐ŸŠ๐ŸŒญ

We ran several beautiful courses and I made lots of new friends from all over the country (and a new friend from India)! ๐Ÿ˜Š Iโ€™m thankful that my body held up and I give all the glory to God for giving me the strength to persevere each day! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ™ – Philippians 4:13
