Running in the MandaRUN Half Marathon

Robert Manon (MM6700, DA431, HF3646) – Completed my 488th half marathon this morning in Loomis, CA. The race started in Auburn, CA and we ran to Loomis. It was a fun race and I put in my best time since coming back from my injury. In fact I think it’s my fastest time of the year. I probably lost about 12 seconds or so because my right shoe untied. Doh!!! I kept saying I wanted to get back to getting a sub 1:40 before the year ended, yesterday’s race was pretty good and I figured I had nothing to lose today, so I went ahead and pushed the pace a little more. I took advantage of the declines and did my best to keep my pace on the inclines. With a mile to go, I knew I had it in the bag. I didn’t get a group pic yesterday but I got one today with Barbara and Jen. I ended up with a 3rd place age group award in the 50-59 division. It was a good weekend and now time to head back to SoCal.
