Merry Mullins-(MM15936) – Well I have so much to say about this trail Marathon that I did. it is the first and will be the last trail race I participate in on purpose anyway. lol.
Haulin Aspen was a difficult run for me. As a road race racer , my mindset always goes to time in the air is wasted time. well you see, that is not a good strategy when boulders, tight trenches and tree roots.
When I say I left a piece of me in Oregon, I mean it literally. I took a few spills along the trail. I did complete the race, I wasn’t last, I only got a little hurt and ended up taking 2nd Place. I learned a lot and left a lot out on that mountain in Bend Oregon this weekend. 😊. I love my road racing. next up. Alaska baby. my reward for torture
