Running Ragged: “Gulf to Appalachia”

Congratulations to Sivabalan Pandian (MM13150) who recently completed the Running Ragged: “Gulf to Appalachia” series with Mainly Marathons.

This involved 11 days of running a marathon in 11 different states. From Sivabalan (Titanium Level Marathon Maniac), – ⬆️Dear well wishers ,
There were two series ( one after the other ) of Marathons in USA namely
1) Gulf Coast Series of Marathons – (4 Marathons of 42.195 K in 4 Consecutive Days at 4 Different States Of America TX , LA , MS and FL ) from 20 -23 March 2023.
2) Appalachian Series of Marathons ( 7 Marathons of 42.195 K in 7 Consecutive Days at 7 Different States Of America AL, GA, SC ,NC , TN , WV and VA ) from 24-30 March 2023.
BOTH SERIES WERE WELL ORGANIZED BY MAINLY MARATHONS . ( http://mainlymarathons.com )
The Marathon started early in the morning, Finish the marathon in the afternoon , travel to the next State and sleep in a hotel . The same way it contintinued for 11 Days. It was well planned and could be managed with the support of co runners.
The results 11 marathons ran 11 consecutive days at 11 different states are as follows.

Day – 2, 21 March 2023, Louisiana LA , Finish Time –

Day – 3, 22 March 2023, Mississippi MS , Finish Time –

Day – 4 , 23 March 2023, Florida FL , Finish Time –
7 :28:57 .
Day – 5 , 24 March 2023, Alabama AL , Finish Time –
7 :32:40 .
Day – 6 , 25 March 2023, Georgia GA, Finish Time –
7 :44:08
Day -7 , 26 March 2023, South Carolina, Finish Time-
7:42:25.
Day -8 , 27 March 2023, North Carolina, Finish Time-
7:42:50
Day -9 , 28 March 2023, Tennessee, Finish Time-
7:44:53
Day -10 , 29 March 2023, West Virginea, Finish Time-
7:42:10
Day -11 , 30 March 2023, Virginea, Finish Time-
7:39:01.
In all only 686 Marathons ( Full and Ultra ) completed so far and the goal is to achieve 1000.
Running with a little pain but gaining a lot of happiness at this age of 64. WHAT ELSE I NEED ?

  3. Those finish times look manageable, but I don’t think my knees could take 11 days of even walking 26.2 miles.
    That is quite the accomplishment.
