Run with the Knights 24 Hr Ultra

Charlene Board (HF7024) -I did this! Habitat for Humanity of Scotland County “Run with the Knights” 24 Hr Ultra.
I’ve done 3 full marathons, 113 half marathons, tons of 5Ks, and have participated in 1-51 mile relay. But I never ever thought that I would run 51 miles!
When I tell you that this was a nice race, I mean the course was great, the food the host provided was excellent and they went all out for the participants.
I met so many genuinely nice people from a guy called Bubu from Benson, NC to a guy named Mark. Funny thing is last week while driving back from
2024 Selma to Montgomery 51 Mile Relay and Bike Race we passed this guy driving a truck pulling a trailer called Runners Church and he was at this race this weekend. First his ministry is to bring church to the races and he ran all 24hours and sharing Gods message to everyone he met. Mark and I chated early in the run but we mainly connected from 2 AM -6AM. If you get a chance look him up please do. He also was the 2nd man to hit 100 miles before 8 AM 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

I’d like to thank Anita Burns who was injured but came with me as support and boy was she a great support for all that was running. She just needed some pom-poms🤣
Thanks to Anna Dickson for stepping into Anita’s shoes to run with me. For someone who has just started running a year ago to jump out there and run 50 miles before 10pm with just a couple of very small breaks, she just crushed it and the entire time she was eating at every mile and talking the entire time 🤣🤣🤣at one point I was like, “ you just came for the food”🤣🤣🤣
But seriously she did an amazing job and I could t be more proud of her 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
