Laurie Weiner (MM15681, DA3668, HF9266) – Today I did something hard. I ran Eagle Up Ultra 50k. My first goal was to complete my first official 50k. I achieved this goal with over 30 minute PR over my time foe MCM virtual 50k that I ran in 2020. My next goal was to attempt 50 miles. This did not happen, but I now have a distance PR of 36.4 miles. Peter walked the last 5 miles with me to encourage me to keep going. My body has found it’s limit as I began cramping during that last loop with resulted in finishing at a snail’s pace. I am proud of what I did and have no intention of attempting another 50 miler, 50k is fine.
