Kicking Off 2026 Strong: State 47 Las Cruces Half Marathon

Sheri Fulton Camp completed her first race of the year at the State 47 Las Cruces Half Marathon, marking her 13th state in her third round and her 240th lifetime half marathon. The flat out-and-back course featured scenic views of pecan orchards and the Rio Grande River. Runners enjoyed a track finish, which was easier than gravel. After a weekend off, Sheri plans to participate in the RNR Arizona, which includes a 5k and a half marathon.

Sketchy Trails, Stellar Vibes: State #45 at the Run With Joy Half Marathon

Tahira Bland recounts her experience at the Run With Joy Half Marathon in Albuquerque, her 45th state race. Despite litter and a homeless presence along the high-altitude course, she appreciated the supportive aid stations and friendly volunteers. The race’s positive atmosphere and welcoming vibe made it a memorable event, especially for back-of-the-pack runners.
