A Tale of Gratitude at the Boston Marathon

Angela Treleven Persich (MM9705, DA837, HF837)– Gratitude. This was the word of the weekend for me as I embarked on my 11th consecutive Boston marathon and am flying home with a shiny new Boston PR of 3:20:31 for marathon overall #78. I’m so thankful to see so many friends from around the country (and world) converge to celebrate running. I’m thankful for the countless volunteers, spectators along the course, Mickey Allen and Amanda-Paul Hoskins who organize our charter bus and the memories that filled my cup this past weekend. My body logged over 70 miles running and walking in the past 3 days but I’m rejuvenated to bring this energy home to my family and friends. Thank you for each of your kind messages and texts – you know how to reduce a girl to tears at a finish line with all of the love!
