Running the Hills at the Ocean Beach/John & Jessie Kelley Half Marathon

Shanae Rivers (HF15418) – Soooooo, the 61st Ocean Beach/John and Jessie Kelley Half Marathon kicked my a$$!!
It was hillier than I expected and seemed so looooong! I’m congested, I 💩3 times before race start, didn’t have my earbuds ‘cause I left the case on the plane—NOTHING was normal😩
It was 🔥as the basement of Hades outside and it was the Ocean Beach 1/2 but it was mostly in neighborhoods and thru town.
And they had and odd combination of clam chowder and whole kiwi fruits for post race grub with no knives…how we posta eat the kiwis??

AND I got kicked off the ocean rocks by a 13 year old lifeguard!
But state #41 Connecticut is in the books🥳
