At the Seattle Half

Amy Seagroves (MM15648, DA3652, HF18410)-Completed half #66 state #34 Washington with the Seattle Half. Good news is the weather was perfect and they didn’t run out of medals! The race course had to be changed this year and there seemed to be issues with the city giving permits so course was kind of a mixed bag. The start/finish at Husky Stadium (UW football stadium) was great and the course was flatter than expected for Seattle. Not flat but about 500 feet elevation gain so not terrible. There was some nice scenery. However it was a lot of out and backs with mixing of the marathon and half so got kind of congested and they seemed to run out of Nuun at most of the aid stations when I got there. As I said I loved the finish on the football field. Overall a solid race and a fun city to visit. Next weekend I will be celebrating my birthday at the California International Marathon. Hope to see some of you there!
