Finishing Her 100 Half at the Air Force Half

Congratulations to Sandi Guglielmi (HF9218) who recently completed her 100th half marathon at the Air Force Half Marathon in Dayton Last weekend.

From Sandi: I truly don’t know where to begin with expressing what this weekend meant to me. I ran Air Force in 2014 and it was miserable. I swore I would never run it again. When picking my 100th half I realized I had to conquer that race to prove how much my running has excelled in 8 years.
Friday night I ran the Tailwind Trot 1K with my baby girl and then ran the 5K with my amazing pack mates. Saturday morning I woke up super early and ran the 10K in 1:00:55 and went right back into the corral to run the Half Marathon. I ran Air Force in 2014 with a finish of 2:30:24 and puked at the finish line. I ran the half today in 2:18:55 and hugged my friends and family at the end instead. My running has come leaps and bounds in 8 years!!!
I can’t thank my crew enough: Linda, Isabel, Lauren, Eric, Heidi, Mercedez for running with me this weekend and cheering me on. Thank you to Marathoner in Training for not only providng the training needed to toe my first starting line but the courage to keep going. Thank you to everyone for your texts, calls and messages in support of my big race today. Biggest thanks to my amazing Daughter and my wonderful Husband for always loving and supporting me 🥰
