Des Moines marathon is in the books. Congratulations to all finishers. It has lots of hills but perfect weather. Great race with excellent support and aid station. Highly recommend it.

The half course was flat, on pavement with some traffic-directed highway and through a park around a lake, starting and ending in downtown Des Moines. Many aid stations throughout the course and encouraging spectators. Post race provided free massages by physical therapy students and doctors. Food included pulled pork sandwiches, fruit, cookies, snacks box, power bars, water, chocolate protein shakes and Gatorade.
