Marathon Maniacs/Half Fanatics Before the Publix Atlanta Marathon/Half Marathon

Mark Jennings (HF13602) – Fun event and challenging course in Tucson AZ. Ran the Saguaro Half with Vacation Races on Saturday. Very scenic and challenging course. First 7 miles on paved desert roads, then the rest on single track desert trails. Some rolling hills but overall not terribly difficult. My 10th different Half location with VR. I really enjoyed this one and would recommend it!

Jennifer Clark (HF16743, DA3643, MM15623) – Double Medal Monday!!
Saturday, February 24: Mississippi Blues in Jackson MS!
Sunday, February 25: We Run This Beach in Gulf Shores AL!
Great weather and good races both days!

Carrie Stone (HF13281, DA3188, MM14425) – Completed the Cowtown Challenge – 5K & Half Marathon. My 6th time to run Cowtown!

Suzie Gayhart Coker (HF11134) –Cowtown Half Marathon Ft Worth Texas. Third piece of the Cowtown puzzle!
Official Half Marathon number 50 🤠

Vicki Sue Merry (HF67, DA23, MM888) – Gasparilla Ultra challenge. Half medal alone and with the set. Well organized and fun. Great swag. Glad I chose to stay downtown cause being able to walk to the start from my hotel was a luxury I don’t often get.

Dailyn Valdez (HF18660, DA3732, MM15916)- Always an epic time with Marshelle Meeks (HF18666, DA3715, MM15869) – & Tony Valdez(HF18746) 💕Kind people in Jackson Mississippi 🫶🏼Race was 👌.Ran through Downtown, The capital some neighborhoods. Steady hills throughout 😜Nice weather, volunteers spectators and plenty of hydration. Only 2 musicians in the course .😞 The Blues band at the finish was awesome 👏🏼 State of MS is ✅#runninglife #running50states #halffanatic #marathonmaniac #doubleagent #phil4:13🙏🏼#medalmonday

Gregory Rouson-(HF8068, MM12723, DA2354) – Lifetime half marathon #214 and Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Half Marathon #5…DONE!!! I came into this race under-hydrated, under-nourished, and ill-prepared for the warm weather. Despite all that, I actually ran one of the smartest half marathons in a long. I recognized at the 5K mark that tonight was not going to be my night so I dialed back my pace and focused on conserving my energy. With the Tokyo Marathon less than a week away, I think I made the right call. Onward. #HF8068 #MM12723 #DA2354 #Roustance

Scott Pearson(HF18577) – Half 48 state 18. Rock n roll Las Vegas Half. This race was such a blast. It was so cool that they closed off Las Vegas boulevard and you got to run the strip with all the lights at night. For those that want to run this, while I thought it was well organized it is a huge race. So that adds up to long waiting times at the start and crowded corrals. The course was full but I did not think it was overly congested because we had the entire road to run on.

Brent Goldberg (HF17257) – Medal Monday – The Rocket Racer hits Vegas!

Cheryl Villasana (HF17090) – Medal Monday! Ventura Marathon- the Half Marathon option. Beautiful downhill course. Very well organized the whole way through! Will definitely run again!

Gregg LeBlanc (HF4564, DA2537, MM13039) – 1st race of 2024 running half of the 3 Capes Relay (26.2) starting in Tillamook, Oregon

Sameer Khurana (HF15807, DA2835, MM13642) – Victory Half Marathon at Richmond, CA!

Teresa Clark Vincent (HF16573) – RSD 3185 – Lifetime Half+: 46
Different State: 38 Alabama
We Run This Beach Half Marathon 2:28:40 13.2 sMiles ✅
This course was really nice… it’s along bike paths and wooden bridges. I’m finding after 6 or 7 miles of this terrain, my legs feel absolutely shattered… It’s not that I mind walking a lot, but wish it wasn’t so painful. Once the race stops, the pain subsides.
Sunday Stats (sMiles):
Week: 31.8
February: 119.8
2024: 222.3
Total Streak: 12082.8

Amy Seagroves – (HF18410, DA3652, MM15648) – Today was half #117 repeat state NYCRUNS Central Park Half in NYC. Overall this race is fine. It’s basically just 3 loops around Central Park which gets a little boring but production and everything was pretty good and this is a cheap time of year to visit NYC. They did try out a new timing system which either has a few kinks to work out or I set the half marathon world record lol. Don’t worry I’m sure it will get fixed and even if it doesn’t I have an accurate gun time. Overall this is a solid race and there aren’t many options for winter half’s in the Northeast that aren’t in Central Park so I’d recommend it if you live in the Northeast and aren’t looking to travel too far. There are definitely better races for New York State for 50 staters but if you really want to run in NYC and not have to deal with entering a race through lottery or paying a fortune to visit in peak tourist season this race is not a bad choice.

Rachel Ross (HF6506) – Victory Half (Brazen Racing) in Richmond, Calif.

Jolanta Thorburn (HF18464) – Publix Atlanta Half Marathon

Corinne Milligan (HF11336) – Mississippi Blues Half in Jackson MS

Sheri Fulton Camp (HF16294) – Completed my 200th half marathon at the Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas.

Lisa Vezzetti(MM4467) – Oregon in the books for State 35! Three Capes Marathon Relay (solo and relay events) Absolutely stunning road course with lots of dirt shoulder. Small event that allowed for start times of 7:30, 8 or 9am. I took the earliest start because this wasn’t flat, fast or rolling hills. 😂 Start is near the town of Tillamook so we toured the cheese factory (yum!!) and Pelican Brewery is partial sponsor. Clam chowder served at the finish line! It looked like the Oregon version of the Big Sur.

John Colvard(MM13439, DA3217, HF17032) – Major milestone for my Medal Monday. 50th state completed at Skidaway Island Marathon yesterday. Nearly 40 years since my first one at Honolulu Marathon in 1985. The last 48 have been since 2011 when I had set a goal to run a marathon for my 50th birthday.

Lea Reyes (MM13731, DA2891, HF16015) – Wilmington, North Carolina marathon, Great race and couldn’t ask for more perfect weather. Another PR for me. Not by much but the fact that I woke up without a sore bone in my body tells me I’m getting stronger. Consistency and getting my miles in every week is important.

Charlotte Corriher (MM3514) – Wilmington Marathon AND Farm Daze 24!

Robert Manon(HF3646, DA431, MM6700) – 276th lifetime Marathon/Ultra was at the Ventura Marathon
