Mississippi Marathon: Pushing Through Pain in Biloxi

Christopher Riff Browning participated in the Mississippi Marathon, which supports runners with disabilities through the Achilles organization. The race started in cool weather but faced harsh winds. Despite an injury to his IT band, Browning completed the marathon, which concluded in a local baseball stadium where participants enjoyed shrimp gumbo and local beer. He met inspiring runners, including one who has completed 507 marathons and another who ran over 60 this year. The event highlighted community and resilience, especially in a post-Katrina environment.
